Abbeys High School offers a comprehensive academic program designed to prepare students for both local and international opportunities.
Students can follow either the ZIMSEC curriculum or the Cambridge international curriculum, both of which provide strong foundations for higher education.
Our programs focus on developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and independent learning.
ABBEYS HIGH SCHOOL
Form 1
In Form 1, learners follow a broad foundational curriculum designed to build strong academic skills and expose them to key learning areas.
The curriculum includes subjects from the following areas:
Languages, Sciences, Humanities, Commercials, Technology and Practical Subjects
Throughout the year, learners are continuously assessed to identify their strengths and areas for development. This evaluation helps guide learners in making informed subject selections for Form 2–4 study streams.

Form 2-4
At the end of Form 1, learners undergo assessments involving parents, teachers and learners to determine their strengths and interests. Based on these assessments, learners will select a study stream.
The available streams are:
Sciences, Commercials, Arts
Each stream offers a combination of core and elective subjects relevant to that field of study. The Careers Department will assist learners in selecting subjects that best match their abilities and future aspirations.

Form 5-6
At Advanced Level, learners specialize in subject combinations aligned with their academic strengths and career goals.
The available study areas include:
Sciences, Commercials, Arts
All learners are required to take English General Paper as a compulsory AS Level subject.
